Joining the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Kim Elliott and Lisa Huckleberry, two employees of Covenant Administrators have recently joined the campaign for breast cancer awareness by participating in the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer 3-Day Event. This event, which consists of a 60-mile walk over three days will be taking place in the Atlanta area on October 20th through the 22nd.
Kim and Lisa’s team, named “The Young Chicks” consists of nine ladies and includes a neighborhood friend who is currently fighting breast cancer. Each team member is required to raise $2,200 through donations and sponsorships, which in turn provides the foundation with the means to help raise awareness and money for research and patient support.
Both Kim and Lisa are first time participants in the event and are looking forward to the challenge of the walk itself as well as participating in the battle against breast cancer. “This is a great opportunity to become involved in the campaign for breast cancer awareness. We feel very proud to be a part of this event,” said Lisa. “We are working very hard to prepare for this and we hope that somehow our participation will make a difference,” added Kim.
